About me

Hi, I’m Chantelle.  I’m Mummy to Arthur and Wife to Mark.

We have been living in the Seychelles since August 2012.  Arthur arrived June 2013.

Mark works at the International school on Praslin, and I’m lucky enough to be a stay at home Mummy.

This blog is for me to share my experiences of being a first time mum and our family exploits!

Any feedback, tips, comments you have would be really appreciated!

I hope you enjoy.

  1. Hi there,

Hope you’re well. Just to say, I’ve nominated you for the Blog Your Heart Out Award meme. It’s a bit of fun and a way to spread the love and promote new bloggers. If you’ve not come across this yet (I had to Google it!) then hopefully my post explains all http://bit.ly/1lvfr0h. Completely up to you if you want to take part – I won’t be offended if you don’t.

    Best wishes,
    Mummy’s to do list

  2. Hi Chantelle,

I found your blog on Expats Blog and really love it – your website is beautiful! I’ve added your blog to our “Blogs We Follow” list on my website.

My website, http://www.womenwholiveonrocks.com, is a collaboration of funny women writers, blogging all about the quirks and eccentricities unique to island living.

As a fellow island girl, I’m sure you’ll be able to relate to some of our humorous stories. I’m always looking for fresh perspectives and you seem like a great fit for the site. Women who write for the site contribute as much or as little as they like - having fun and celebrating the humor of island life is what it’s all about (and, you know, griping sometimes! 😉 ). My goal with WWLOR is to get it published as a book of essays and I am working on building our platform now, so it’s a fantastic time to get involved.

If you’re ever interested in writing with us, whether as a regular contributor or as a featured guest, just let me know and I can send you the details on how to join in.

  3. Hi Chantelle,

I am a casting Producer on the US travel and property show ‘House Hunters International’. I’m not sure how long you have been there, but we are looking for English speaking expats who have moved to the Seychelles within the last two years or so and would like to share their story. I wonder if you might be interested?

As you may know, House Hunters International is a half-hour TV show currently airing on the Home and Garden Television Network (HGTV) in America. The series is designed to de-mystify the international home-buying / renting process, by going behind the scenes of a house hunt where expats and their real estate agents tour 3 homes. At its core, House Hunters International is a travel show concentrating on the idiosyncrasies of the locales and what makes them special and different.

Here are some links to show you what our show is all about!

Here are some examples of the show that you can watch on Youtube:

We would love to film in the Seychelles, so please do get in touch if you or any of your contacts may be interested in the show.

    Best wishes,
